10 good reasons to start shopping at Haji Lane!

Haji Lane Singapore

It seems remarkable to me that, considering the fashionista that I am, I only recently REALLY discovered Haji Lane. A cute little street just before Arab street that features many little fashion stores and cafes. It’s only a little street, but believe me, you will spend lots of time here. It’s great for buying fashion, accessories and fashion gifts.

What is so special about Haji Lane?

  1. First of all, it’s colorful! The street in itself is a joy to look at. You get taken back to the days of old Singapore.
  2. Then there is the fashion! No Zara’s and Gucci’s here, but just quaint little, independent fashion stores. Prices tend to be cheap, but the trend level is high.
  3. Big on fashion trends! I’m currently on top of all the trends due to my daily articles on 40P+Style, so I knew exactly what is hot right now. Many of these shops featured their own creative interpretations of these trends and at much lower prices.
  4. Lots of colors! If you are getting bored with all the black then there are many colorful clothes to be found here.
  5. Lots of bargains! It may be the time of year for bargains, but I was able to find quite a few real steals. I bought a lot more than I had planned too. (in fact I had only intended to take photographs of other shoppers!)
  6. Great little cafes for a break. Since you will spend quite a bit of time in each and every shop, you will quickly get tired. Luckily there are a few great little cafes here. Some are actually in the clothes stores themselves.
  7. Great for gifts too! This is also a good place to shop for original gifts, especially for the christmas holiday.
  8. And check out the shoes! Many of the shops also stock some shoes. Again they are interpretations of the high fashion shoes from the designers but at a fraction of the price, so a great place to look for some very fashionable shoes with high heels.
  9. One shop sells some of the coolest bicycle.
  10. One shop is called the blogshop. As a blogger I can very much appreciate that! And check out some of the other funky shop names as well!

Some of the worthwhile shops include:

27, Salad Shop
28, Living Icon
29 Belezza Couture
31, Pluck
41, Dulcetfig
42, Airport Boutique
43, A clothes shop
47, Victoria Jomo
